Bindery Tips

  • Talk about finishing when you start a printing project. We can often design more efficient ways to produce the entire project.
  • Insist on apples-to-apples estimates. Some printers bid elements of the bindery process separately so you need to make sure you’re looking at the whole cost picture.
  • Timing is everything. Ask your printer if production time estimates include fixed bindery schedules. (Anderberg-Lund has full in-house bindery capabilities so it’s not an issue with us.)

Bindery Services

Bind it. Cut it. Fold it. Stitch it.

Bindery is the stage where everything gets put together, finished, completed, done. It’s also the stage where an error in judgment or faulty equipment can undo a great printing job and cause you to miss your shipping deadlines.

Expert bindery services... Anderberg-Lund offers more than state-of-the-art bindery equipment (although we have that, of course). We offer 35 years of offset printing and bindery experience so those errors in judgment don’t happen. And, as a family-owned business, there’s a pretty good chance the man running the folder or the woman operating the stitcher/trimmer was here five or ten or even 20 years ago.

Our bindery services include:

Bindery - Whatever kind of binding your job needs, Anderberg-Lund can do it (most often in house).

Cutting – We have two large commercial paper cutters and offer cutting services on a variety of materials up to 51.5" x 54".

Folding – We can fold jobs in large or small format. We have stream feed folders that can fold sizes up to 26 x 40, pile feed folders, and slit/score folders.

Stitching – We have as many different types of stitchers as we have folders and can stitch jobs a lot of printers outsource.

Shrink-wrapping – We can protect your printed materials with shrink-wrapping and can wrap any amount requested.

Collating – Whether your job is collated by hand or by machine, you’ll know it’s been done correctly. We offer full hand and machine collating services.

Labeling and Wafer Tabbing – We offer both hand peel-off labeling and heat sensitive automated labeling. We also offer wafer tabbing to keep your printed materials closed in mailing.
